NEW SOUTH WALES POLICY. By Toleeraph—Prosa Association—OopjrisM Sydney, April 12. Mr. Bceby, Minister for Lands and Labour, speaking at Wagga Wagga on closer settlement, said that whatever Government was in office, it would be bound to apply every pressure, ou largo landholders occupying lands not in productive use in districts that will bo served by tho Stalo railways. Opportunities for private subdivision of lands at good prices '".ould not continue. Men 'not wise enough to sco current public opinion would suffer. The Government's purchases of blocks of land had not touched the fringo of the closer settlement problem; they wanted 200,000, not 20,000 now settlers.
