FEDERAL STAMP DESIGN.
The Federal stamp, which consists of adaptations by Mr. Frazcr (ihc Aiislrnliau I'ostimMcr-l.loneral) of the designs submit led, is of the eustumary size. It has the word "Australia" printed straight across the iop. and I lie denomination is shown by a figure in a small circle in the left-hand top earner. The body of the stamp is filled by an outline may nf Australia and Tasmania. Inside Australia a big kangaroo sits on its haunches, nibbling grass which it has just bitten off a sprout of roo grass on the ground in front of it. ' The kangaroo is fscimj towards the w~t. Aer.'s _th,. l.ollom the value or denomination i- again <A out in letters, one penny, two penny, three pennv, as the case may be. The penny stnnip will be printed in pink.
