OBITUARY.
MISS EMILY SOLDEXE. By Teleeraph-Proas Aesociatlon-Copyrislfi (Roc. April 9, 10.15 p.m.) London, April 9. Tho death is announced of Miss Emily Soldene, tho well-known vocalist, actress, and journalist. The deceased lady ,was born at Islington in 1844, ami appeared first nt the Oxford and other music-halls. She was engaged for the famous production of "Genevieve de Brabant" at the Philharmonic, Islington, in 187), and for "La Fillo do Madame Angct" on its first production in England in 1873. She toured with a light opera company of her own in America and Australia. Her books include "Young Mr. Staples," a novel, and "Recollections of My Theatrical and Musical Life." For some years she has represented tho Sydney "Evening News" in London.
