Balfour, Mr. Bonar Law, and 1157 Peers, members of tho House of Commons, and other influential Scotsmen, have signed an appeal to the Church of Scotland on the subject of reunion with the United Free Church. The Duke of Argyll has written a letter approving of a general appeal to the Scottish' public to support Church reunion. Ho rejoices at the efforts being made to terminate outward forms of separation, and adds: "Theso exist chiefly in form and for the exaltation of the Church of Rome."
