— * (By Association.) Timaru, April 8. Tho Foirlia show drew many from Timaru, and tho attendance was a tccord. Every raction of tho show contained good representative exhibits, save iioid roots, which have not matured well this year. Tlio Agricultural Department had an intorcstmg oxhibition of roots grown on experimental plots near Fairlio and at Belfast (90 varieties), also specimens of grasses grown in an. enclosure in Mackenzie Country in regressing experiments. Tho best of them were slieeps burnett bluo grass and danthonia inula (two native grasses). Tho prize fat ox, a big one, was estimated to weigh over 19001b.
