WAIKANAE SPORTS.

The annual meeting in connection with the Waikanae Athletic Club was held on the local racecourse on Easter Saturday. The racing was only mediocre, the majority of tho races fieing won with) ease, although in a few events the finishes were close and interesting. Mr. George Watson, besides fulfilling the position of starter, acted as supervisor, ana, with Mr. T. H. Parata, worked hard. The following are the results of tho events:— Maiden ovent—E.
