CANADA'S NAVY.

FORECAST OF NEW POLICY SaUADRON, . By Telegraph-Prcrs Association-Copyright Ottawa, April 7. The "Quebec Chronicle" states that it has been decided to treat tho question of naval defence on non-party lines, and that tenders will ho immediately called for two super-Dreadnought cruisers. Meanwhile, Canada will represent to Britain ami tho other Dominions that naval autonomy is essential, and that representation is imperative. This cau bo met only by the creation of an Imperial squadron, lo which Britain and the Dominions shall contribute, controlled by a special Admiralty Board, on which tho contributors shall bo represented. The paper points out that Canada's interests as a nation demand that she should, similarly to America and the South American States, be able to show a flag in naval visits, which play an important part in improving trade relations with other countries. Canadian-mtinnefl ships, added the "Chroniole," should protect Canada's irterests throughout the world.
