WIMMERA IN A FOG. At 8 p.m. yesterday (lie local wireless station "picked up" the Huddart-Parkcr steamer Wimmera when she was off Tairoa, (Otago) Heads. The message stated that the vessel was in a dense fog, and would probably not make Duncdiii until daybreak. TONGARIRO ARRIVES HOME. A cablegram has been received announcing the arrival a* Plymouth on Aprji C of the New Zealand Shipping Company's Moamer Tongariro. The vessel cleared Napier for London on February 16. Makura reported by wireless that she was 600 miles north of Auckland, and expec'cd to make that port from Vancouver between 10 and 11 o'clock to-morrow morning. At 5 p.m. to-day the New Zealand Shipping Company's new steamer Illinium is to leave Wellington for Wanganui to continue leading for London. Messrs. Oa=tendyk and Focke, local agouts of the North German Lloyd, are in rereipt of a cablegram advising this arrival of the Gneisenau a: Sydney from European ports on Thursday morning. The passengers for New Zealand are exported to arrive in Wellington by tlu Moeraki next Wednesday. , To-morrow the lilackball Company's collier Ngatoro leaves Wellington for Grcymoulh, where she loads coal for Napier. The. Ngahere is loading coal at tin Wcs: Coast, port for Auckland. Having completed discharge of the Wellington portion of her London cargo, R.M.S. Remucra, left for Lyttelton on Saturday evening. Af.er discharge at the latter port, the vessel will load at various coastal ports before returning to Wellington to complete. She leaves for London on .May 2.
