VIOLENT CRIMES IN FRANCE.
THE MOTOR-CAR BANDITS. Bj MocTaph—Press Association—Copyrieht Paris, April 5. Carrovy, one of the ringleaders of the gang of bandits concerned in the recent motor outrages, has been arrested. He was armed with revolvers, He is an expert chemist. Ho swallowed poison when arrested, but a doctor administered an antidote. A crowd attempted to lynch the man. The epidemic of violent crimes is said to be largely due to the psychological effects of the publication of the exploits of tho motor-car bandits. A messenger was robbed and killed at Avry, a suburb of Paris. The assassins have not been traced.
