ARMED BANDITS.
A SHARP FIGH.T By Telesraph—Press Association—Oopyrleht Calcutta, April 3. A Portuguese commander, with twentyfour sailors, fifty police, and a dotacliment of soldiers, had a sharp fight at Caranjuim, Portuguese, Indies, defeating five hundred armed bandits, who had made an assault on an hotel. Many bandits wero killed, and nine Portuguese were killed or injured.
