The artist draws a revolver, and orders him out of the house, and, turning to tho girl, asks her lo marry him. No sooner said than done, the father returns with a constable to take tho girl away, ho learns tho position, and departs. Other pictures are: "The Tlmcrican Navy,' "Sammy the. Boot 13ov" (drama), "White Fawn's Peril," "A Pair of Trousers,' "Naughty Lea," and others. Messrs. MacMahon and Donnelly announce that on Good Friday they will present a specially-selected series of moving pictures of an interesting kind. STAR THEATRE. _ The new programme at the Star Theatre is attracting good attendances of picturegoers. "The Convict" is a fine dramatio study, representing in detail a strong man's attempt lo live down tho convict's life-long brand of shame. "Tho Stag Fight" is an interesting study of animal life, while "Tho O'Neill" is a story of yo olden days, when a sure blado and steady hand oft won fortune, fame, and love. An enthusiastic reception was given 'Tho Convict's Escapo" at (he lung's Theatre last night. The story is a thrilling and nn exciting one, and has tho additional value of having been very well enacted. "Saving tho Special" is a fino drama, and onions the best of tho other films are: "Living Peach," "The Slag Pight," and "A Slight Mistake." PARIS PICTURES. .The various subjects presented by tho Paris Picture Company on tlio present programme are of n high standard. "Tlio Wav of Hie World" and "Her Choice" nre' stirring examples of pictorial dramatic art, which are appreciated by the onlookers. "The Stampede" (military drama), "Poor Portuguese Joe," and "Art Indian Legend" arc keenly followed throughout. "Bicycle Mug's Dream" and "The Girl and the lironcho Busier" are of a most amusing character. One of the new pictures is "A Tale of tho Wilderness." The story is an interesting one. "Tho Old Book-keeper," a picture now being shown at tho Skating Rink, is an item of merit in a really fino programme. Of tho industrial pictures, "A Day With tlio Yarmouth Herring Fisheries' is an interesting film- Other good numbers were:—"A Slight Mistake," "Tho Humour of Animal Life," "His Wife's Secret," "Tho Blacksmith."
