Tho case in which Mr. Le Crcn (Inspector of Factories) claimed to recover from the Wairarapa Farmers' Co-opera-tive Association the sum of ,£lO as a penalty for a breach by the association of Clause 4 (a) of tho Wellington Grocers' Award was again before the Magistrate's Court yesterday. 'Tho case was originally heard beforo Dr. M'Arthur, who decided in favour of the defendants, and that decision was the subject of an appeal to the Higher Court, which allowed the appeal, and remitted the ra-e to his Worship. Yesterday, Dr. M'Arthur convicted the defendants, and indicted a fine of 10s., which, he remarked, was a nominal penalty.
