On Hood Friday the Pos\»l Department will he closed in all its branches. Mails by steamers sailing on Good Friday will close at 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 4. The only dispatches by trains on Good Friday will be for the Wairarapa, Monawatu, WaiiEnnui, and .Taranaki districts, closing at 6.30 a.m.; also Hawkc's Bay and Auckland, closing at 8' a.m. There will be no day clearance of .he city and suburban receivers, but the night clearance will be made as usual. There will be no deliveries by letter-carrier.", but on the previous evening and Saturday evening there will be a delivery over the eountor at 'he Chief Post Offlca between 8.30 and 9.30 p.m..' only for correspondence addressed to the post office; and at the old Krill Shed, Mafsiniiity Strer, between 8.30 and 9.30 p.m., for correspondence which is delivered by lettercarrier.
