— At (he annual meeting of the Fcildinn District Hockey Association oflicers wore elected for the year as follow:—President, Mr. K. Short; vice-presidents Messrs. W. Forgusson, J. (jraham, V. M. Montgoin-ory-Uiohardson, L. A. Elliott, and p, H. Guthrie, M.l'.. The oflicers ex-oflicio and tine delegate from encli chib appointed the management committee; Messrs. \V. 13. Carthcw and Elliott were appointed a postponement committee; Mr. Carthcw was rc-clccted solo selector for representative games, with Messrs. .1. liobson, G. Harris and Elliott as an advisory committee. It is the opinion of experts that tho prices of fat slock are likely to remain high during (.ho winter. Mr. F. F. Hockly is to l>e given a banquet at liaclihi on April 18 by his political supporters.
