PETONE NAVALS. ' ' The'Petone Navnls concluded their shooting season with a snap-shooting competition. PETONE AND SUBCUBS. The Potone and Suburbs Kifln Club< meet for the first time on Saturday at Ireiitham in (earns' shooting at ranges 300, 500, IiOO yards. Both clubs were represented by two teams. The Petone No. 1 was considered to be their strongest combination, which included i ex-champion Arthur Ballinger. The Suburbs put a strong ton in the field, although they wero without the services of (J. AVhiteman, H. Hunt, and T. 11. The U-st scoro of the day was put up by Hint-nan Givig, l'etone, his score being .'13—35—83—101, the next best, by J. Given, Suburbs, 98. Petone led at 300 yards with 2!15, Suburbs 291 at 500 yards. Suburbs took the lead with 325, Petone 320. In No. 2 match, Hifleihuii Ji. 1-easey piloted tho Suburbs winners by 37 points. The best score of this match was by Will Jackson, with 97, closely followed by two l'etone men, 11. Faysoii and Morris, with Si apiece.
