An election riot has taken placo at Awalikdcre, in Turkey, owing to the gendarmes attempting to prevent the Liberals from voting. Twenty people, were killed andfi rty injured. They were chiefly Liberal Mussulmans.

Tho newspaper "Messnger d , Athens" accuses the Young Turks of gerrymandering the elections, with a view to excluding from the Ottoman Chamber all prominent Greeks and Liberal candidates of various naviiiiialitioj.
