Tho first return from tho operations of the Waihi-Paoron, Gold Extraction Co., Ltd., is £1412 14s. 10d., from 3845 tons of tailings treated from March 8 to 23 inclusive, which, with 1500 tons previously treated, the value being still In solution, givos 7s. 4d. per ton actual extraction, pins 9d. per ton estimated valuo of slags still untreated, making Bs. Tho Mount Lyell mino returns from February 22 to March 20 show that thero was treated 19,240 of ore. which produced 431 tons of blister copper, containing 426 tens of copper, 39,6530z. of silver, and 5500z. of gold.
