HOCKEY.
The third animal meeting of Uic Hui Mai Hockey Club Has held on Tut-day. There was a fair attendance .of members. Mr. 11. J. Hunter was in the chair. The report and balance-sheet,• which shotted that the club was in a good position, were adopted. The committee congratulated members on the club's success in (he six-a-sido tournament held during (lie season. The following ollicers were clected: —President, Mr. V. Jensen; vicc-presi-dents, Messrs. Sherwood, T. It. .Archibald, IS. Hart. 0. JI. .Tones, A. 11. Stone, and 11. E. Garlics; secretary and treasurer, Mr. 11. Hoy; club captain. Mr. I:\ M'Kcever, field captain, Ilr. 11. Sherwood; vicecaptain, Mr. N. Sclig; management committee, Messrs. J. V. Cameron, 11. Lippott, N.'Sclig, H. Iloy, aad F. M'Koever; selection committee, Messrs. H. Sherwood. IT. llov, and I''. M'Keever; delegate AWU'.Ii.A., Jlr. 11. Hoy. At the Concert Chamber this evening the violin pupils of Mr. H. I'ereival dark" will give their annual concert. Jlr. Clarke has the reputation of being an earnest teacher, who find? plenty of -:'ipe for his youthful pupils in (caching them the rudimentary principles of violin-playing, and of having achieved surprising result- from tiny Ids not nearly up to their "teens." There are seventeen items on I lie programme. These include a felling, by Mr. Clarice, of Sullivan's "I,o?t Chord," for thiri.v vi'oh'u-. and in another overture competed In' Mr. Clarke ten vi'lio? will be employed.
