Mnssey, M.P., Leader of the Reform party, left by the Main Trunk express last night, en routo for New Plymouth. A number of the members of the party tfero on-tho platform to eoa their, chief off. To-morrow after- 1 noon ho will visit Ngaore, wliero lie will receive an address from the local 'mem- > bors of the Reform party, and in tho ' evening ho will attend a Reform rally at Stratford. At the latter function a presentation is to bo made to Clio itiember ; for tho district (Mr, J. B. Hine). On Friday evening Mr. Massoy will bo one of tho guests at a settlers' dinner at ; Whangamomona, and will then return ; to Auckland. The Leader of tho Reform party is to leave for Wellington at the end of next week. Prior to his departure last night, Mr. ! -Mnssey was present at a largely attended meeting 'of the Reform party. Amongst other matters discussed was the establishment of a Reform Club. An institution of tho kind is to bo started, and it is hoped to shortly secure suitable promises. A largo membership is assured.
