HOCKEY.
PETONE WEDNESDAY CLUB. Tho fourth annual meeting of tho Petouo Wednesday Hockoy Club was held last night, Mr. .7. M'Ewun in the chair. The report and balance-sheet, which showed (lie club to be in a good position, were adopted. The following officers were elected:—President, Mr. J. W. M'Ewan; vice-presidents, Messrs. H. J. Palmer, W, Woarnc, 0. Avison, L. Barnes, -W. Bridgor, R, J. Nnnkevillc,, J. T. M. Hornsby; secretary, Mr. W. M'Ewan; treasurer. Mr. J. Parrant; club captain, Mr. J. M'Ewan; vice-captain, Mr, J. Parrant; delegates to association, ' Messrs. Barnes and Pointon; committee, Messrs. W. M'Ewan, J. Parrant, W. Burn, W. Taplin, and officers ex-oflicio; selection committee, captain, vice-captain, and Mr. Beswick. Congratulations were received from the president on the club winningtho championship. , PETONE LADIES' CLUB. .. The annual meeting of the Petono Ladies' Hockey Club was held last night. The Mayor, Mr. J. M'Ewan, was in tho chair, and there was a good attendance. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. The following ofnc&rs were elected:— Patron, Mr. M'Ewan; president, Mrs. Ellis; captain, Miss I. Scrimshaw; vicepresident, Miss Guthrio; secretary, Miss Lepper; assistant-secretary, Miss Jackson; treasurer, Miss May; coach, Mr. Bennett. This week at Petono will be "Ambulance Week." Boxes will be posted in various public places, and on Saturday next a benefit football and ladies'hockey match will be-played on the Recreation Ground.
