CENTRAL MISSION SUNDAY SCHOOL.
A— - . Thp annual report of the Central Mission Sunday School states that good progress has been made during the year, and the school is now in a Very good position. The number of scholars On the roll at December 31, 1911, and the aver-' age attendance for the year tfas as follow:—Main School—Number on roll, 30; averago attendance, 20. Infant classNumber on roll, 20; average attendance, 22.5. "During the year we have admitted 1G (including seven from the infant class) to the Main School, and 16 to the infant class. We have suffered our losses largely through scholars leaving the district; while in the case of the infant class, as mentioned hafore, seven wero moved up into tho Main School.
"Tho staff hus changed a Rood deal during tho year, but wo are glad to be able to report that we have now a full staff, numbering 10, with an. average attendance of 7.6. Owing to an appeal made a.t the last Young Women's Bible Class Convention, held in Wellington last Easter, Hiss Williams' (now Sister Mildred), and Miss M. Carter offered their services as teachers, and were gladly accepted. Other additions to the list are Messrs. J. Cooper, E. L. Garner, G. Thompson, and V. R. Bennett. Our losses are Misses Garner and Ward, and Messrs. Colloy, Gow, and Green, and wn cordially 'thank these friends for their past, services. We also wish to specially thank Mrs. Illaniires for her assistance during the time that we were without a superintendent. The cradle roll now contains 4G names/, being an increase of seven for the year, and we desire to place on record our (honks to Mrs. W. 13. Howe for her services as cradle roll visitor."
