RESOLUTION BY GENERAL LABOURERS' UMOX. IB? TelcEraph—l'tces A;?oclnt!on.i Chrisichurch, March 26. At an open meeting ol' the General Enbouicrs' Union held to-night, at which the compulsory military training system was discussed, the following motion was agreed to: "That in the opinion of this meeting of general labourers the organised workers of this country tire now called upon to tako some drastic action if tho military powers decide to liavo any more of our children gaoled under tho Compulsory Military Training Act., and in our opinion Labour should take a few weeks' holiday together, and stop tho wheels of industry until tho Act is repealed." It was nlso decided that "This meeting of general labourers should forward a cable messago congratulating Tom Mnnn and comrades, who have been sent 1 to gaol for their principles, and that tho I message be sent through Mr. Rcir Hardie, M.P."
