o SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications are for unsettled, cloudy, and misty weather, with rain in 18091 part 3 of tho country; strong ■westerly winds probable in and northward of Cook Strait, and easterly and south-easterly winds elsewhere, and a further fall in the barometer. The barometer has fallen slowly in ths north, and especially abou; Cook Strait, but remained law in the south. Moderate to strong westerly winds have prevailed northward of Cape Campbell and Cape Foulwind, but south-easterly winds have been experienced in the southern districts.
