GROUNDS AT THE HUTT. At the Hutt Borough Council meeting last evening, a letter was received from the. Wellington Rugby Union to the eu'ect that it was impossible fur them to pay more for tho Kecrenlion Ground (.£25, plus one-third of gross takings) than mentioned in their letter of February 16, or the same terms as last year. The union pointed out that it was not a moneymaking body, nor was it wealthy. Councillor Hodgins had no objection to tho union having the ground, but he objected to (ihem playing lower grade matches. The council should insist on an occasional senior match.

Oil the motion of Councillor Eoots it was resolved that tho union be gTanted the ground subject to the terms of tho agreement being carried out.
