ISpeeiallj written for The Dominion.] TUESDAY. Grilled steak and oyster sauce. Halted tomatoes. Potato chips. Ginger pudding. GI.NGUR PUDDING. One pound flour, half a pound suet, olio teaspooni'ul ground ginger, one teaspoonful of baking powder, half a cup of treacle, half a cup of milk, a little salt. Mix all together and steam for four hours, or boil in a mould, taking care the water does not flow over the top; leave plenty of l'oom to swell. Serve with sweet melted butter. FOE TO-MORROW. Rabbits. Bacon. Suet. Cauliflower, Apples. SOCIAL AND PERSONAL. | A Napier Wedding, A pretty wedding was quietly celebrated in the Napier Cathedral on Saturday morning, when Dr. F. C. A'Court, of Christchnrch, only bob of Sir. Henry A'Court, also of Christchurch, was married to Miss Evelyn B. Robjohns, only daughter of Mrs. H. C. Robjohns, of Napier. The ceremony wa« performed by tho Rev. Canon Mayne, M.A., and only infinite friends of both families and relatives were present. Mr. H. Weber played the organ. Tho bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr. J. G. French, of Bulls, wore a violet cloth travelling dress braided with black, and liat to match. Her bridesmaid, Miss K. A'Court (sister of tho bride), woro a black coat and skirt, with Oriental trimming, and a becoming hat. Mr. li. Natusch was the best man. After tho service had been concluded the guests were entertained at the wedding breakfast at Kensington l'lace, the residence of Mrs. Robjohns, who woro a mauve coat and skirt, handsomely braided. Miss R. Nixon, of Wellington, was one of the guests. Masterton Golf Season Opens. The Masterton Golf Club opened its season on Saturday afternoon, over one hundred members and guests being present. A mixed foursome was played during the afternoon, which resulted in a win for Miss Holmes nnd Mr/ Lawrence. Mrs. Hugh Williams (wife of the president) entertained everyone at afternoon tea in the golf house, the tables being beautifully decorated with pink Japanese lilies and autumn foliage. The hostess was wearing a black coat and skirt, and a grey squirrel hat with a black osprey plume. Some of those present were Mrs. Guy Williams, .Airs. 11. \V. Beetham, Mrs. Frl Williams, Mrs. A. Miss Ivobbell is the guest of Mrs. H, Holmes (Matahiwi, Masterton).

Miss Arrow, who has been visiting Mrs. Arthur Warburton, left last week for Pnhintua and Hawke's Bay..

Mrs. Gale, who has been spending a few days in Wellington, left for Blenheim yesterday.

Mrs. Eoland Waddington, of Lcura, Blue Mountains, N.S.W., is visiting relatives in the Wairarapa.

Miss Mabel Hoggard arrived in Wellington on Saturday from Picton, and will be spending a few days with her people at Oriental Bay.

.Mrs. W. B. Edwards is spending a fendays in the Wairarapa.

Mrs. IJathbonc has returned to the Hutt from her visit to Hnwke's Bay. Mrs. Todd (Hiuvko's Bay) is at present her guest.

Mrs. Wood (Tiuiaru) is a visitor to Masterton.

Mr. S. Saunders and Miss Saunders left Wellington on Saturday on their return to Christchurch.

Miss Madge M'Gregor has returned to Wellington from her visit to the south.

Mrs. Whitelaw, who has beon staying with Mrs. Corkill at Oriental Bay, has returned to Auckland.

Mrs. Will Lawson joins her husband in Dannevirkc- at tho end of this week.

Tho wedding of Miss S. Bolton to Mr. Trevor Beetham, of the Wairarapa, is to take place at Trinity Chui'ch, Woodville, on April 10.

The death is announced of Mrs. John Parker, who passed away at Matawhero (East Coast) at tho ago of 63. She was the first white woman to drive a horse and cart into Gisborne, no mean achievement in those far-back days, when roads and bridges there were none.

The Princess Salote, daughter of the King of Tonga, returned to Auckland by the Atiia to contimio her studies, t'rior to leaving, a largely-attended gathering was held in the Victoria Memorial Hall, Nukualofa, in honour of the princess.
