Notice has boon received bv the Weilington Performing Musicians Union of its registration under the Industrial Conciliation'and Arbitration Act Tho union now numbers sorao SO members, ombracing anions others nil the players at present employed in tho various .theatres nnrt picture houses. Tho lollowing constituto tho executive of tho union :~President, Mr. U. B. Oakcs; vice-president, Mr I. I. Joy; secretary, Mr. J.. Woodward; treasurer, Mr. 11. Moschini; truetoe.s Messrs. A. Williams ami P. W. Gardiner; committees, Messrs. A. P. yudn, U. Cummins, V. Vitoltn, and C. Stoughton. Tho inaiuiKements of tho luiiis Theatre, The Now Theatre, and thn btar Theatre have agreed to the union 3 domantis. As it has been found impossible to got a satisfactory meeting with other employers, tho union bus decided to refer tl'ie disputo to u, Conciliation Council for settlement.
