A mob of women, dissatisfied at the Nanking Assembly's liikewnrmiiess with regard to women's franchise, invaded the Assembly, smashed tho windows, mauled tho guards, and terrorised the members into opening up the question. LOAN NEGOTIATIONS. POWERS IN PROTEST. Peking, March 22. Great Britain, America, France, and Germany are protesting against an Anglolielgian loan of ,£1,000,000, signed on March 14, and ratified by the Nanking Assembly. The loan is to be a irst charge on tho Kalgan railway, and is described as violating the conditions embodied in Notes previously exchanged between the President of the Chinese Republic and banks in the protesting countries.
