The final matches of the.Boys' League championship were concluded on Saturday. In the senior grade Y.M.C.A. defeated Institute by 67 runs, after a keen-ly-contested game. HOUSE MATCHES. At Newtown Park on Saturday Occidentals (US runs) easily defeated "New Zealand Times" (18 run?), on the first innings. Permancnts scored 145 (Dempster 38, Lambert 211, Edwards 25, Clnrkn 18' i. Casuals replied with 88 (Hamilton 33, Roberts 19, Sullivan 14, Dumbleton 12). Bowling for Permanents, Clarke took five wickets (including the "hat trick"), Edwards two, Dempster and Woods one each. The best bowlers for tho Casuals were Sullivan, five wickets; Hamilton, three; and Thomas, two. The wicket-keoping of Lambert and the stone-walling of Roberts were features of the game.
