MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.
A large crowd of sailors and friends was present at the Mission to Seamen on Wednesday evening at the weekly concert. Miss Maclntyre kindly arranged the programme, and the following ladies and rpuilcnie.n took part:—The Misses Mullpr Dix, V. Dix, Smith, and Bcnne.tr, Messrs' Goudic, Diivies. and Hay. and Master Baker. Mr. Cuniiiiings, as.-istant mis. sinner, was in (ho chair. During the evening. Mr. Shell spoke of the worts' done by Mr. fiimmings durins the post, twelve years and a half. Three hearty cheers were given by tho sailors .ind friends, which was responded to by Mr. Cummiiigs. who stated that, sorry as he will he to leave the- mission work for ». time, he hopel the information gained by him on his tour through tho world would fee of use tfl him in his work at tho mission on his return. The conundrum competition was won by sailors from the ships in port. A hearty vote of thanks was given to the performers.
