THE FRAUD OF "LIBERALISM."

SHARP LABOUR COMMENT. In nn article entitled "Another Liberal Fraud," "Tho Voice of Labour," the official Labour weekly edited by Professor \V. T. Mills, deals faithfully with the "Liberal" party. It says, inter alia:— It went to tho country at tho last election without a platform, and with castiron effrontery asked tho people to return it to office on tho strength of the things someone else had done twenty years ago. But Labour hod awukenod somewhat in tho meantime, and determined to striko out on its own. The result was that in some clec'oralcs tho Liberals were bumpod out by Reform party candidates, while in others Labour candidates were returned by a combination of Reform party and Labour votes;, tho result was that Iho Liberals were reduced from a majority of over twenty to a minority of two, showing plainly that 'the .-Liberals havo lost the confidence of the people whom they havo humbugged so Ion;. If the Liberal parly were not lost to all sense of political decency and respect; if the Liberal party existed for any other purpose than to hang on to office, it would have obeyed the people's mandate and resigned. But instead of resigning, what does (he great hypocritical parly do, but set lo work straight away to try and corrupt the Labour members by offering them this, that, and the other to go over lo the Liberal party. All this is being done, of course, under a pretence of "friendship for Labour," which is the more disgusting hypocrisy in that tho Liberal party ran a candidate agaiast each one of these candidates at the elections. As to whether the Labour candidates choose to walk into the trap set for them by tho Liberals or not, is their own affair. There is a law to prevent people from committing suicide, but this does not «p----plv to political suicide, and that is what walking into, the Liberal trap is going lo mean, for those Labour men who are foolish enough to do it.
