RELIABILITY TRIALS.
IBy Tolctraph—Press Association.) Christchurch, March 18. The judge made the following awards in the automobile reliability trials, concluded on Saturday:— Private owners—26-h.p. Minerva, owned by N. C. Gilchrist (last year's winner), pold mortal ami 100 guinea cup, 1; H. Piper's 30-h.p. Cadillac, 2; F. Hubbard s 30-h.p. Cadillac, :i. A Morten's IG-'JO-h.p. Wolseloy. R. 0. DiWs 10-h.p. Minerva, F. W. Johnston's '0-h.p. Buick, A. W. Lane's 30-h.p.- Cadilloc D. M'Millnn's 20-h.p- Overland, Captnin M'Lenn's 30-h.p. Cadillac, and R. A. Green's 30-h.p. Minerva were all awarded geld medals for non-stop runs. In the trade class, W. J. Scott's 20-h.p. Vanxhall was first, Adams's IG-h.p. Minerva was second, and Hawke's 12-h.p. Unic third. The "Unic, which is a small taxi, lost fiist prize and the petrol consumption medal by dropping a passenger at one A feature of the trials was the large number of cars which made non-stop runs.
