SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications arc for rain and boisterous weather in the northern districts, with high easterly winds and a falling barometer. Elsewhere fold, cloudy, and uns3ttl>l weather will probably continue for a tima, with S'.rong southerly and south-easterly winds, and a further rise in the barometer is to bo espccted. The barometer roso everywhere on Saturday, bn. an ar?,i of low pressuro passed .southward of Now Zealand on Sunday night, causing heavy rain in Otago • and Southland.
