THE PAPAEOA COAL-MINE. A report on the Papnroa Coal-mine, prepared by an independent expert, suites that the mine and plant are in a condition to Ktart working at any time. The report will be in shareholders' hands early. There ore some million tons of first-class coal in sight, and the present time is one when the demands for coal are so urgent that it presents an opportunity, for a successful initiation of operations, not to be missed. A genteman, well known in commercial circles, interested in the coal and shipping trade, has recently privately examined the mine, and has expressed a wish to take an activc interest in the concern, should reconstruction be carried out. Many of the persons interested in this property, who have hitherto been apathetic through a want of appreciation of its great value and importance, will now be aroused to make effort* to set the mine going. The Naval and shipping authorities and others who have used coal have been making Inquiries for It, but at present the company is unable to supply owing to want of sufficient capital to cn» able it to work on a RUflk'iently large Kcale.
