THE SENIOR PENNANTS, WON BY NEWTOWN. All bowling fixtures for Saturday dwindled into insignificance beside, (lie final gnmo between Iho Newtown and To Hiwi Clubs for flic Senior Ponnonts. Tho games were played on Iho Wellington Club's green, in tho presence of a largo number of spectators, who took n very lively interest in every head played. Newtowu succeeded in winning thu Pennants by scoring a. majority of 10 points in the aggregate of tho four games. Each club won two games, Princo (Newtown) beating I'arata (To lliwi) by one point only, and Wylin (Newfownl accounting for E. J. Hill (To Hiwi) by (ho substantial majority of 1C points. For To Hiwi, Lock scored a two-point win over Brackonridge, after a keenly-contested game, and Whittle won comfortably from Price. It was Wylio's big win which gave Newtown tho margin which meant victory. THE CHAMPION CLUB. By their win on Saturday in tho Senior Pennants, tho Newtown Club comes out on top as tho most successful in matchplay in Wellington. They have this season won tho Northern Bowling Association's Banner and Shield (at the January tournament), and havo secured both the Senior and Junior Pennants. These coveted trophies changed hands again on Saturday, when a (cam from Karori—Smiley, Bennett, M'Lennan and Ciawford (s.;—won them from Khandallah, which was represented by Fleming, Wiilians, M'Artlnir, and J. A. Plimmcr (s.). Tho game was a good one from start to finish. On the ninth head tho teams were 9 all, and again, on tho sixteenth head, lii all. By the twentieth head Khundallah was 20 and Karori 19. The lost head caused most excitement. Khandalhh was lying tho shot when the skips went down.
