At the Police Court inquiry regarding an alleged conspiracy between Mrs. and Miss Pankhurst, Mr. and Mrs. Pethick Lawrence, arid Mrs. Tuke, leaders of the militant suffragist movement, the Crown Prosecutor stated that the Women's Social and Political "Union funds amounted lo .£115,000. He added that the caso under review was one of tho most extensive and deliberate conspiracies extant.
