Inspector Braik's evidence was continued. Inference was mado to Mr., Parkinson, of the Teachers' Institute, using confidential information obtained from Mr. l'iiani at AVangaimi. His AVorsliip pointed out thai he had stopped Mr. Parkinson giving evidence, on the ground that it was hearsay. Mr. Pirani: Yes, but not till ho had got a good deal of it off his chest. His Worship: I think it is perfectly clear the information was confidential. Mr. Pirani: It may bo clear to tho Court, but not to the public. His AVorship: ,S'o far as tho evidence is concerned, there is absolutely nothing to warrant tho reflections made on -Mr. Pirani by Air. Parkinson. Miss Molloy, assistant teacher at the. liinton School, deposed that Mr. Stagpoolo had made uncomplimentary references to her religion in school hours, and that ho had not spoken to her for several menths. Kegaiding Inspector Stewart's alleged proceedings at the school she had heard no disturbance in tho school during his vi-jit, and knew nothing of any charges, except that Stagpoolo had complained to her Hint Stewart had knocked some of tho children about. ■ Letters which she htwl written to Mr. Pirimi, chairman of the board, regarding Stagpcole's ilcmeinonr to her, and certain rumours as to her dismissal that' wore spread about, were read and ]>ut in as evidence. She also deposed as to the unptinctuality of Stigp iole's cluss in starting work in the morning, and the prolonged playtime and dinner interval. The Court rose at 10 p.m., and will resumo in the morning. It is hoped that tho caso will bo concluded to-mnrrow.
