LABOUR CONFERENCE.
* CHRISTCHURCH REMITS. . IBr Teleirratili.- Hrcsi A.i«ocldtlon.l Christchurch, March 15. • The Christchurch South branch of the New Zealand Labour party, has decided to forward the following remits to ths annual conference of the party in Wellington' during Easter:— : (1) Urging the four Labour members in the Houso of Representatives to retain the individuality of the party by refraining to join any Administration , other than that of an accredited Labour Government, and as far as possible solidify the party vote on all important questions by caucus agreement. \ (2)' Urging the Government to amend the Local Elections Act by providing for adult suffrage for all elections to ' local bodies. - (3) That the advisableness of a "White New Zealand" be discussed, and that the Labour members be urged to bring down legislation prohibiting the landing of any more Chinese in the Dominion. < (4) That the Government be urged to abnlish grand juries. Mr. G. E. Whiting was appointed delegate from the branch conference.
