The committee which has been formed under the presidency of General Baron do Heusch to arrange for the celebration, on June 18, 1915, of the centenary of the Battle of Waterloo, has decided oa the construction of u mausoleum at l'lanccnoit or Braino I'Alleud. The memorial, according to a design which i* to 1)0 submitted for final decision to a, council of British, German, Dutch, French, and Belgian artists, will consist of a mass of dark porphyry on which ths principal group, carved in white marble, will stand out in relief, with bronzo figures around it representing (he various nations represented in the. light. All tho'bones found on the field will 1>« will bo laid within this mausoleum; will thus in a measure liccomc. the tomb of all who fell at Waterloo. Nothing a* yet has been seltled 1 with regard to tho ceremony which will take, place, but committees will be nunointed in London, Iter, lin, Paris, and The Hague. M. Conlon, of Brussels, is general secretary of ths Belgian Committee, and Baron Gaelaa de Vriere, of Brussels, is the delegate ton Great Britain.
