Mr. Veitch, M.P., has accepted a withdrawal and apology from Martin Lee, of Wellington, in respect to charges made by tho latter during the general election campaign that Mr. Veitch, as president of the Amalgamated Society of Haihvav Servants, had drawn expenses to which lie was not entitled. Leo says there is no truth in the allegations, and expresses regret. Mr. Veitch has withdrawn tho legnl proceedings which were pending.
