LITHGOW STRIKE.

March 14, 0.10 a.m.) Sydney, March 13. • It is unofficially stated that an agreement has been reaehed between Messrs. lloskins, of the Lithgow ironworks, and tho executive of the Labour Council, covering all matters in the Lithgow dispute except the question of tho employment of six men to whom tho unions object. Tho agreement provides for the employment of all the hands engaged before the strike, including Cairs, whoso dismissal was the original enuse of the trouble. The men taken on since the dispute are to be found employment elsewhere. A ballot of the men is to bo taken. It is confidently stated that the end of tho strike is in view;.
