ISpcciallj written for The DomxioH.l WEDNESDAY. Tomato soup. Stowed rabbit. Potatoes. French beans. Apricot tart. TOMATO SOUP. Two quarts of stock. S or 10 fresh tomatoes, loz. butter, loz. Hour, 2 thin slices ui bacon, 1 carrot, half a turnip. 2 small or 1 largo onion, a hunch of herbs, 12 peppercorns, :) cloves salt. Fry the carrot, turnip, and onion in butter to a light browji, add the (lour and tomatoes, and cook for a few minutes. Pour in the stock and stir until it boils. .Simmer very gently about one hour, or until the vegetables are quite tender. Add a few drops of carmine if the soup is not a good colour. • FOR TO-MOBKOW. Leg of mutton. Carrots. Turnips. Gelatine. Fruit for stewing.
