Fry the carrot, turnip, and onion in butter to a light browji, add the (lour and tomatoes, and cook for a few minutes. Pour in the stock and stir until it boils. .Simmer very gently about one hour, or until the vegetables are quite tender. Add a few drops of carmine if the soup is not a good colour. • FOR TO-MOBKOW. Leg of mutton. Carrots. Turnips. Gelatine. Fruit for stewing.
