CRICKET DISPUTE.
DEMOCRACY V. DESPOTISM.
By Telosraph—Press Association—CopyriEht Sydney, March 12. Yesterday's meeting of protest against the attitude of the Board of Control in the cricket dispute adopted Mr. Wade's motion; "That the Board of Control be requested to take the necessary ttops to ensure an Australian representative team taking part in tho Triangular cricket tests." Mr, Noble, in moving that the'resolutions bo forwarded to tho board, said he did not object to the board, but to some of the members of it. He strongly objected to a democratic board being governed by a despot. The evident intention of tho rules was that players should appoint a manager, and the board ratify the appointment.
TEAM TO SAIL TO-MORROW, (Kec. Mnrch 12, 10.15 p.m.) Sydney, March 12. Mr. Smith, secretary of the Board of Control, declared to-day that no representations had been made on behalf of the six players standing out. The selected team will sail for England to-morrow.
MR. WARNER SURPRISED. • (Rec. March 12, 1.5 a.m.) Adelaide, March 12. Mr. Warner, captain of the departing M.C.C. team, expresses surprise at the fact that tho Board of Control did not consider the cable message sent by the president of the Maryleboue Cricket. Club, urging that the best Australian team should be sent Home. Ho regards the board's action in not replying as savouring of discourtesy. '
