At the conclusion Miss M'Lean, principal of tho college, thanked the judges for their services in helping to make the sports a success, and called for three cheers for the officials, who were as follow: Judges, Mrs. Litchfield, Miss Brandon, and Mr. .1, Calnan, assisted by Misses E. Ward and Newmifn; starters, Misses Batham and Lynch; handicappers, Miss Newman and some members of the Games Committee. While attending the. funeral of her mother at Earlcy Churchyard, near Reading, Mrs. Harriet Farmer, of Reading, fell to the ground and died immediately.
