WELL-KNOWN AXITHOK CHANGED, Dj Te]etra.t>li-Pr«as Aejoclation-Ooojriehl London, March 10. Hugo Laurence Ames, the well-known author, and Flora Ames have been arrested on a charge of bigamy. They were married at Kensington after an Idaho (United States) divorce, of which it is alleged Hint Ames's previous wife know nothing.
Mr. Ames is 5G years of age, and wae married to tho second Mrs. Ames in 1910. J his lady is tho eldest daughter of Lieut.Colonel JJavtor, C.8., and is known as nn authoress, lecturer, and playwright. Mr. Ames is provincial secretary to the Grand Council of the Primrose League, ouo of the principal Conservative- organisations in tho I'm ted Kingdom. Ho was in ISM private secretnry to Sir Julian Pauncoiote, then Ambassador to tho United Slates. _ Mr. Ajhps'has published several books, including one on "The Position of Woman mid (he Problem of Sex."
