Mabel Small has been committed for trial at Cumnock on a charge of murdering her mother, Jane Johnson, on September 11 last. The accused made a written statement to the effect that something told her to remove strychnino from a bottle. She then visited her mother. The latter felt terribly queer, and something told her to put the strychnine in her mother's medicine. The mother subsequently drank a portion and died.
