The fourth conference of tho AuslruU iisinn Provincial Press Association is to bs> held this year in Auckland. It will be nlttvuled by about 110 delegates from the various States of tho Commonwealth, tuid representatives of the Now Zealand Press Association. The Australian delegates will arrive in Auckland by the Victoria on Sunday next. They have been preceded by Mr. I?. M'Millau, editor of tlio "Stock and Station Journal" and author of several books. The secretary of tho association (Mr. T. M. Shakespeare) has'been prevented bv business engngononts from making tlio trip, and Mi. M'Milliin, who is acting in his place, arrived yesterday to complete arrangements for tho conference. The president is Mr. W. S. Brooks, of the "Moreton Mail." Brisbane, and president of tho New South Wales County Press Association. On March 18, th« day after their arrival, the delegates will bo given a civic reception, to Auckland by tho Mayor. They will sit in conference on Monday and on Tuesday, and will then travel through New Zouland. The conference is unique as the lirst organised gathering of Australian journalists held in New Zealand.
