Last evening his Excellency the Governor left Auckland for Greatford where lie is to inspect the camp of tho Seventh Infantry Regiment. On March 19, Lord Islington will visit tho Third Auckland Infantry Regiment at Papatoetoe, and on March 25 the camp of the ICth Waikato Regiment, at Hamilton, will be visited. A garden party will be given at Government House, Auckland, on March" 21. Tho Prime Minister (Sir Joseph Ward) and tho Hon. J. A. Millar are at Auckland, and the Hon. A. T. Ngata at Port Awanui. The Hon. D. Uuddo is expected I to return to Wellington to-day. Sir .Tames Carroll and the Hon. E. M'Kenzie are in Wellington. Tho Hon. T. Mackenzie I journeyed to Qucenstown yesterday, and will remain there to-day. Mr. V. Bishop-elect of Nelson (Conon Sadlier) obtained the degree of doctor of divinity of London University about seven years ago. being the first Australian churchman to hold that particular honour. Ho received his education in theology at Trinity College, Melbourne University, and is the fifth student from that college to become a Bishop. Bishop Long, of Batlrarst, who was appointed only three months ago, is one of the five. Canon Sadlier was lecturer at St. John's College, and coeditor of the Church of England "Messenger." Six months ugo his health gave him somo uneasiness, and he went away on six months' furlough, from which he has just returned completely restored.
