He received a reply from Lord Desborough, president of the Marylebone Club, as follows.—"As president, I am certain the counties and all English cricketers will bo bitterly disappointed if Australia is not represented at tho triangular contests by the best team." TEAM FOR ENGLAND. (Rec. March 10, 5.5 p.m.) Sydney, March 10. The Board of Cricket Control, at a special meeting, confirmed the action of the chairman and secretary regarding the team for England. Gregory was appointed captain, and Jennings viee-eaplnin.
