BREEDER COMPLETELY PUZZLED. The Upper Opaki correspondent of the "Manawatu Times" chronicles the following case: — "One of my neighbours reported to mo the other day that he was completely puzzled regarding a mob of mother-reared calves, which were gradually going off to skeletons from somo unaccountable reason, and death in many cases resulting. Drenching and repeated change of good clean pasture failed to prove a remedy, and an appeal to tho Agrouliurnl Department was without avail.
