A fatal motor-oar accident oocurred at 5 o'clock this evening, end resulted in Mrs. Prouse, of Wanganui, being killed, nnd Mrs. Jordon, wife of Canon Jordon (Mayor of Tauranga) being eeriously injured. Both ladies, who were sisters, were on a visit, to relatives. The Indies were crossing the road at ft tiino when a motor-car, driven by Garnet-Camp-bell, oamo along and knocked them down, throwing Mrs. Jordon aside and running over Mrs. Prous©.. Mrs. Jordon sustained a broken arm, three broken ribs, and a out on tho head, besides being 'Severely bruised. She no-w lioa in the hospital in a serioue condition.
